Haralson Farm is a private breeding and training facility south of Atlanta in Newnan, Georgia. We specialize in breeding Dutch and German Warmbloods for dressage, show jumping and the hunter ring. Our goal is to breed light, elegant sport horses that can move well and jump. Good minds plus soundness and rideability are the chief characteristics we seek. Because we are breeding primarily for clients who want to excel in their chosen discipline of competition, we seek out the best stallions and breed them to high quality mares. Unlike most breeding farms, we compete and performance test our mares and breed only those who have proven themselves sound and talented. Our mares are a "cross section" of the finest European and American bloodlines and bred to the top competing stallions in the world.

"THE MARE MAKES THE HORSE"
is an old horseman's motto and current genetic and breeding experts will confirm that the stallion can only compensate for so much in a mare. We start with top quality competition mares.
Our young horses are raised in a natural environment with large pastures to run and play in until they are 3 years old. They are fed according to Kentucky Equine Research nutritional guidelines so that they will have the most optimal bone and cartilage development.
All of our broodmares have been x-rayed and screened for OCD lesions for pre-approval. Each young horse goes through periodic schooling sessions, learns how to lead, load on the trailer, stand for the farrier, etc. so that when the time comes for them to be started under saddle the transition is not difficult. They are immunized according to the recommendations of the American Association of Equine
Practitioners and wormed monthly until
they are one year of age.
Since we are a mare station, all colts and geldings are for sale. We sell mares and fillies when we have others with similiar bloodlines.
